By downloading, installing, or using the StepGenZ application ("App"), you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
This policy applies to the StepGenZ Android application, published by StepGenZ, based in Rajasthan, India.
We collect information in the following categories to provide and improve the StepGenZ experience:
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Google Account Information (if you sign in with Google): Your name, email address, and profile picture as authorized through Google Sign-In.
- Reward Redemption Information: When you claim a physical reward (e.g., t-shirts, posters, gadgets, fitness products, or merchandise), we collect your full name, shipping address, and phone number to fulfill your order.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device ID: A unique identifier associated with your device, used for reward tracking, fraud prevention, and syncing push notification tokens.
- Expo Push Notification Token: A token generated by the Expo notification service to enable delivery of push notifications to your device.
- Step & Activity Data: Daily step counts and walking activity data collected through the Android Physical Activity permission, used solely to power step tracking, challenges, streaks, and coin rewards within the App.
- App Usage Analytics: Aggregated data on how you interact with the App, including features accessed, session duration, and in-app events, used to improve App performance and user experience.
1.3 Advertising Data
- Ad Interaction Data: Google AdMob may collect advertising identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID) and interaction data when you view or engage with ads within the App. This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- To provide and operate the App, including step tracking, streak monitoring, coin rewards, spin wheel, challenges, and reward redemption.
- To authenticate your identity when you sign in using Google Login.
- To fulfill physical reward orders, including processing your shipping address and contact details.
- To send you push notifications such as daily reminders, streak alerts, challenge updates, reward announcements, and promotional content.
- To assign and manage your Device ID for fraud prevention and accurate reward tracking.
- To analyze App usage and improve our features, performance, and overall user experience.
- To display advertisements through Google AdMob, including rewarded video ads that allow you to earn in-app coins.
- To comply with applicable laws and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity.
StepGenZ requests the following device permissions. You may be asked to grant these when using the App:
StepGenZ offers Google Sign-In as an optional authentication method. You may also use the App without signing in (as a guest). If you choose to sign in with Google:
- We receive your basic profile information (name, email, and profile picture) as provided by Google.
- We use this information to create and manage your in-app account and personalize your experience.
- We do not receive your Google account password.
- Your use of Google Sign-In is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Guest users may use core features of the App without providing any personal account information; however, certain features such as reward redemption may require account creation.
StepGenZ uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, including rewarded video ads that allow you to earn in-app coins. AdMob may collect and use:
- Android Advertising ID (AAID): A resettable unique identifier that AdMob may use to deliver personalized or contextual advertisements.
- Ad Interaction Data: Data on how you interact with ads (e.g., whether you watched a full rewarded video) to calculate coin rewards and optimize ad delivery.
- Device and Usage Information: General device information used by AdMob for fraud prevention and ad performance measurement.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by going to Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization on your device.

When you redeem coins for physical rewards (such as t-shirts, posters, gadgets, fitness products, or merchandise), we collect the following information solely for order fulfillment:
- Full name
- Shipping address (street, city, state/province, postal code, country)
- Phone number (for delivery coordination)
This information is used only to process and deliver your order. We may share your shipping details with third-party logistics or courier partners strictly for fulfillment purposes. We do not use this information for marketing without your consent.
Order and shipping data is retained for a reasonable period to handle returns, disputes, or customer support requests, after which it is securely deleted.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating the App (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, push notification services). These providers are contractually obligated to handle data securely and only for the purposes we specify.
- Advertising Partners: Google AdMob, as described in Section 5.
- Fulfillment Partners: Logistics and courier companies for physical reward delivery, as described in Section 6.
- Legal Compliance: When required by law, regulation, court order, or government request.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to this Privacy Policy.
- With Your Consent: For any other purpose, with your explicit consent.

We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement reasonable and industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS protocols.

- Limited access controls ensuring only authorized personnel can access personal data.
- Regular review of data collection, storage, and processing practices.
9.1 Network Connectivity Check
StepGenZ monitors your device's internet connection status to ensure the App functions correctly. If the App detects that your device is offline or not connected to the internet, it will display an in-app prompt notifying you to check your network settings and try again. This check is performed locally on your device — no personal data is collected or transmitted as part of this process. An active internet connection is required to sync your steps, load rewards, receive notifications, and use all App features.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
- Account data (Google Sign-In) is retained while your account is active.
- Step and activity data is retained to maintain your progress, streaks, and reward history.
- Shipping information is retained for a limited period after order fulfillment for dispute resolution.
- Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized after a reasonable period.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see Section 14). Upon a verified request, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe.
StepGenZ is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at stepgenz.support@gmail.com. We will take prompt steps to investigate and delete such information from our systems.
If you are between 13 and 17 years of age, please review this Privacy Policy with a parent or guardian before using the App.
